Additional books from the National Library such as thesis books and Compton’s Encyclopedia can be found also.  The building is fully air-conditioned which give comfort and convenience to the learners.

Provincial Librarian Erlinda Nunag

It is open from 8 o’clock in the morning until 12 noon then 1 o’clock to 5 o’clock in the afternoon from Monday to Friday.

To recall, Senator Magssaysay in his speech during the Inauguration and Blessing Ceremony promised to allocate funds for the realization of electronic communication to provide good education to students and hopefully this will be materialized in the near future.

The Pentium IV computer set donated by Zamboanga del Norte Association in California (ZANMAC).

Governor Amatong, being   the father of the province was very grateful and thankful for the support extended by Senator Magsaysay in the construction of the library and his great intention to help improve the public education system.

However the need for electronic library system and other Information Technology (IT) and reading materials is still present.  In fact, library personnel are planning to have internet soon.

Mrs. Nunag warmly assists the researcher in operating the computer.

Recently, the Zamboanga del   Norte Provincial Library fortunately became the recipient of a computer from Zamboanga del Norte Association in California (ZAMNAC) through its President Frisco Labadlabad with the support also of Erika Austin, Executive Secretary.

Provincial Librarian Erlinda Nunag said that the Pentium IV computer unit with its other accessories including the printer and scanner worth P55,000.

Students doing research and some are answering their assignments.

Nunag is thankful to ZAMNAC for its concern to the education of the children.  She ensured that the students can definitely   utilize and enjoy the said equipments.

She is also grateful to know that ZAMNAC is planning to donate boxes of books or reference books which can help the students in their research.

Reference books provided for the learners

The computer set from ZAMNAC will be added to the other three computer units of the library which will help intensify its electronic library system.

The library serves more or less 500 students a day especially during peak months.  Their personnel headed by Mrs. Nunag also conduct orientation about the library through Book Mobile Library Orientation visiting different municipalities in the province.

The Provincial Government spent millions for the construction of the new and modern library for the benefit of the people especially the children in order to improve their education, knowledge and wisdom.  This will also usher them in a modern and more advance Zamboanga del Norte.
