City Councilor
Romulo P. Soliva was born in Punta, Dipolog
City on October 18, 1954 where he grown and
respectively graduated his elementary and
secondary studies. He and his wife, Lucia B.
Soliva, are blessed to have two (2) kids and
were able to raise them well in their
residence at Malvar Street Extension, Dipolog
City.
He
graduated in 1977 with the Degree of Bachelor
of Science in Commerce, Major in Accounting
and thereafter finished Bachelor of Law (LLB)
in 1998 and his master’s degree in Business
Administration in 1994. He also successfully
passed the examination in Real Property
Assessing Officer in 1997.
Before
he enter into politics, he dedicated most of
his time in banking profession with Metrobank
serving as a Bookkeeper in 1978 until he
became Junior Assistant Manager in 2002 when
he retire in order to pursue a new endeavor.
He
decided to join in the public service and was
elected Barangay Chairman of Punta, Dipolog
City in 2002 wherein he received various
citations including the award as “Most
Outstanding Barangay Chairman” in December
2003. His vision of a wider scope of public
service earned a good start when he was
elected City Councilor of Dipolog in the May
2004 election.
Aside
from being a public servant, he also devoted
his time in socio-civic activities as he is
presently a Senator of the Dipolog Jaycees and
an active officer in many famous organizations
in the city such as Blue Marlin Jaycees,
Neo-Gene’s Inc., Panag-Unong Inc., and the
Knights of Columbus.
His
business affiliation includes his recent
position as Board of Director in Ospital ng
Kabataan Inc., Dipolog City and of Euro-Med.
Laboratories Phils. Inc., UN Avenue Manila. |
