Barangay Dicayas is one of the 21 barangays of the city of Dipolog created into a barangay under the Republic Act No. 3590 dated June 22, 1963. It has a total land area of 600 hectares. The population of the barangay as of the 1995 Census was 3,724.  Dicayas is divided into six (6) different sectors, (sitios) namely;

  
1. Lower Dicayas
2. Upper Dicayas
3. Lalawan
4. Tabuk Tulay Dicayas
5. Relocation Site Dicayas
6. Linabo Dicayas

   Land Use: Agricultural
   Attractions:  3002 Steps at Linabo Peak, Japanese Memorial Park
   Local Produce:  (Major)  Rice, Corn Copra, Mango, Banana and Camote
                             (Minor)  Cassava, Gabi and Vegetable
